Repeaters

Let's talk about our repeaters. Our relationships with the cities of Olive Branch and Lewisburg have led to a mutually beneficial outcome. It has allowed us to locate several repeaters and antennas throughout the area. This provides repeater service to HAM's in the area and doubles as a public service for emergency communication when needed. Let's talk about them in detail.

VHF 147.255 tone 79.7 TX & RX Offset +0.600

Olive Branch, MS

Analog - System Fusion - C4FM - EchoLink

Located on top of the Olive Branch water tower near the intersection of Hwy 178 and Craft Road, this VHF repeater works on frequency 147.255 and has been operational since 2008. In 2020, the transceiver was upgraded from a Yaesu DR-1X machine to a Yasue DR2-X machine. This repeater supports FM Analog, C4FM Fusion and Wires-X connections on Wires-X Room Digital #64052 “The Magnolia-Link”. EchoLink is also supported on this repeater by using Node #568763. Additionally, Wires-X users can connect to Room #64620 to access an Analog connection to this repeater which allows Wires-X digital users to communicate to FM users in the area. At some point in the near future, the Digital capabilities on this repeater will be migrated to a new repeater at this location and will support the digital Wires-X traffic in this area. There will be a full-time Wires-X Room available and users can change to any of the Wires-X rooms that are available in the Yaesu list of Rooms. The repeater will be on a different frequency and band. The Magnolia-Link (Room #64052) will be migrated to this new repeater from the current 2-meter repeater.
